Principal

Hello! My name is Patrick Glynn and I am the principal at Jeffers Pond Elementary.  With over a decade of principal experience in the Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools, and a few in outstate Minnesota, I began my teaching career in Belize, Central America. I also taught elementary school in the Faribault and in the Minneapolis Public Schools and later became a principal in the Waseca Public Schools. Prior to Jeffers Pond, I was the principal at Grainwood here in PLSAS for numerous years.  I am very grateful to have had international, rural, urban and suburban experiences as an educator. I love the principalship and the challenge of meeting the needs of students, staff and families.

My focus is to create a healthy school environment where students can successfully grow their social, emotional and academic skills. As a PBIS district, school-wide expectations are well known and enforced by staff and students. From Responsive Classroom practices in the classrooms to nature-based learning opportunities throughout the Jeffers Pond grounds, our intent is to grow the whole child.

Besides being a principal, I am the loving husband to Shannon and the caring father to three energetic teenage/young adult boys. Dad is also a coach, robotics mentor, and supporter of Boy Scouts, music and the arts. I love the outdoors, backpacking, camping and making yearly trips to the BWCA. I am also a Twins and Gophers fan extraordinaire!
